PSA on Social Security Fom Bureaucrash

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WT9MKZTcsg]

I have heard Social Security is voluntary and if you just stop paying you won't get hassled by the government. This is not to be confused with those people that say the Income tax is voluntary. You just don't pay in and volunteer out of the system. The don't pay in part is tricky considering most people are not self-employed and have bosses. If you can somehow convince your employer it is voluntary (written statement from SSA?) maybe they will keep their 7.5% and give you yours. I will probably never understand how this was passed back in the 30's. I should ask my great grandma sometime. How am entered into this sham when I had no say on it? This is one right the people and constitution has failed to save.

Even a Canadian See's Ron Paul's Influence

"Goldwater did not win, but in his own way he helped rebuild the Jeffersonian wing of the American political system that went missing in the 20th century. Ronald Reagan, despite his betrayals and weaknesses, was a rhetorical embodiment of the Goldwater Revolution and now Ron Paul is a further element of what is turning into a full-fledged Jeffersonian resurgence."

He makes a good point that a lot of people fail to understand in the mainstream media. Even if Ron Paul doesn't win he has amassed an army of people devoted to promoting him and the message of freedom. If Ron Paul loses they will still be active in the community because of him. They might wait until he endorses some other candidates or they might run one them self. Every time they quote 2% in polls they are in for a surprise.

First of all only old people who register as Republican get polled. He has woken people up! Because he gets to be on the stage in the debates and speak forcefully to the camera the message isn't stifled. This is getting people to actually think? Maybe protest a stupid law that you just payed the fine on. Maybe pass out flyers at the metro or maybe, just maybe, vote in a primary! What's a primary?

Breaking News: Man Changes Bill After It has Passed?

Yes, you read correct. He changes the bill after It has passed but before it was given to the president to sign. Now he might of just changed where the money goes and how much, but isn't that all that matters! Why debate if you can just revise it anyway? He saved himself a lot of time. Someone should take a quilt of the constitution throw it on him and set it on fire. What ever happened to this tar and feathering I heard about in highschool?

Disturbing Video... Man shot and killed in the street for no apparent reason.

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zRj7MlzRrAo]

It amazes me how many of these videos are out there. For now on I will post legitimate vids as I see them online or they cross the wire. I would like to have an open discussion about cops and hear ideas on how to improve the situation. One thing i noticed from the video was when the man was shot the camera man had a hard time keeping the camera on him since he was probably shocked and turned the camera away momentarily.

Rants: Excessive No UTURN Signs!

Media_httpwwwwpclipar_bdcsc

I am tired of the dumb ass no UTURN sign! They are at like every intersection where you want to do a UTURN! As a matter of fact I am tired of red arrows for dedicated left turn lanes.. but thats another post. I was remined of how dumb they are everytime I deposit at my bank because I have to take an alternate route everytime I go to the atm by my house because of the No UTURN sign.

The irony is the alternate route also has a no-uturn sign but you can turn left into the gas station and do a UTURN that way? I wonder if the gas station owner must not mind all the extra traffic from people avoiding the chance of a ticket. It makes no sense at all. I can understand if it is a busy road and doing a UTURN blocks traffic, but a dedicated left turn lane no UTURN? Thats just bullshit. Also if you're allowed to turn left at the intersection a no UTURN sign shouldn't be there. Most people let this stuff go but it can be a major annoyance and excess signage can cause accidents. A protest is being held in Keene, NH on this very issue (person refusing to pay ticket) according to libertarian radio show Freetalklive.

Insightful Political Cartoon

Media_httpinthenameof_eidmg

This was emailed to me by A friend. I think it was recently published because I have seen it before. I wish more political cartoons had a liberty mindset and weren't bogged down in the partisan politics. He is obviously referring to the bush administration using fear (WMD's, TSA, Homeland Security, ICE) to eventually persuade congress to pass anti-freedom legislation (Wiretapping law, Military Comissons Act, Defense Authorization Act). Patrick Henry had good reason to be afraid (and talk out against) the constitution and I wish more people would of sided with him. If it wasn't for people like he we wouldn't have a bill of rights in the constitution and our liberties would of been gone sooner. IMO more public schools in Virginia should be named after Jefferson, Madison, or Henry.

Victims Of New STATE Virginia Traffic Laws

No victim in this crime except the mother speeding to the hospital to deliver a baby? It's ok for an ambulance to speed with her in it but if she speeds it cost her $1,000.

My mom will also be getting the exact same fees for going 20 mph over merging on a downslope on the highway. Apparently 70mph costs you $1000+ and isn't safe. She said the cop even admitted to her he hates giving people tickets in that fashion (downslope and near merge area).

He even lied and said he would waive the new civil remedial fees which a cop (or judge) has no authority to do (These fees are mandated by Code and cannot be suspended or waived by the judge. They are assessed on misdemeanor and felony convictions only, not on traffic infractions. http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/courts/gendist/). These cops do have the authority to not write unconstitutional tickets and should grow some balls.

Stupid Bussiness/ Occupational licences

Why does someone need a business license? In a simple sense you don't. I ran a lemonade stand as a kid during yard sales like every other kid on my street. We also did it together. We had a little cup and charged 25 cents for a cup of lemonade. We didn't need a license. I never even thought of it back then. And why would I? Because I was a stupid kid? No, because it makes no sense!

Why does my friend Don pay 25-50 dollars every year or couple years to renew his license to cut hair? Because the government will come into his barber shop and forcibly remove him from cutting hair. Not because he can't cut hair anymore. This isn't a certification to drive out bad hair cutters. Supply and demand would handle that anyway. It is to protect businesses who have an interest in people paying for teaching in cutting hair. This is a subtopic which stems from rights and privileges. Don's right has been violated by the government by requiring him to obtain a license. He is getting the privilege to do business by the government. Don is a slave. Wait! What about the 13th amendment?

Rights Vs. Privileges

I came across this article today about welfare participants in San Diego losing their 4th amendment rights by being subjected to house searches and the such. The wording of that is wrong as rights can't be given to you by a government or (by a piece of paper), but thats for another post. I am assuming the government was doing these searches to verify the person qualified for welfare. It got me thinking that they really didn't have their right to privacy in that sense and the article was wrong to say that their rights were violated. They agreed to be receive welfare, and by doing so agreed to the search.. The article clearly states they could of avoided the searches if they chose not receive welfare. No one has a right to welfare because It is paid for through someone else's labor (property). Welfare is a privilege the state has granted the people that choose to accept it.

Occasionally I get on the topic of rights with my friend and he always asks me, "What are rights?" in a tone that rights are subjective and I can claim I have a right to shoot anyone. This also isn’t true because you are depriving the person of their right to life. Freedom should be to do anything you want as long as you aren’t violating the rights of your fellow man. Rights are derived from private property ownership and maybe I should explain it to him like that. If he owns his body then he can eat whatever he wants, as long as he owns what he is eating or was given the privilege to eat it from someone. For more information I sugguest you look at Michael Badnarik’s Constitution class on Archive.org.
